Students celebrate European Day of Languages
On Tuesday 26th September, students from St Clement Danes and Croxley Danes Schools spent their lunch time celebrating the European Day of Languages in the Anchor building. Staff had arranged a number of activities to celebrate this day, which has been held annually since its inception in 2001, during the European Year of Languages.
The day promotes the importance of language learning and cultural diversity of Europe, and gives people an opportunity to have some multilingual fun!
Our students had an opportunity to play games, participate in quizzes, taste food from European countries and watch a Disney film in a foreign language. The Modern Foreign Languages faculty was packed with students and staff who were enjoying the various activities during their lunch break.
Thank you to the MFL staff who organised the events, and to all the students who participated in the European Day of Languages, including our sixth form students whose assistance contributed to such a successful day!
