Easter Concert 2018
Tonight’s Easter concert yet again provided talent, emotion and virtuosity, this time accompanied by a … fancy dress vulture. Only at St Clement Danes! As Mr Sutherland rightly said at the end, when you have been at the school for a while, you forget that this is not normal for a secondary school music concert; our audience were certainly treated to a fantastic set of performances tonight. From incredible solos to note perfect ensembles, an eclectic mix of composers in a varied programme was thoroughly enjoyed by all. It was a fitting send off for some talented Year 13s in their last ever SCD concert. Danes Student Journalist, Connie O'Mahony 7D, who sings in Junior Choir, said “It’s an amazing opportunity to sing the songs you love with people who love them as much as you do”. The enjoyment of the students was certainly apparent, as those in the audience will testify. Many thanks to Miss Stevens, Mr Butterfield, the music prefects, peris and Mrs Roxon for all their hard work.
