School Community collects for Wrap up London and the Refugee Kitchen
Following an assembly on 1st October which raised awareness of the plight of refugees around the world, the school was given an opportunity to respond with donations.
Chorleywood 4 Refugees suggested two charities that we could support and the school has responded generously.
The Refugee Community Kitchen which operates in London and Northern France will benefit from the huge number of tins we collected (kidney beans, chickpeas and tinned fish).
Wrap up London will distribute the overflowing crate of coats to people who will need them desperately this winter. They work with several charities in London supporting vulnerable communities.
Thank you so much to everybody who has donated - a great effort!
(Mrs Savin, Head of Maths Faculty, and coordinator of charity collection.)
