Bold Voices
On Thursday 27th January we will be having a non-uniform day in support of SAHWR Specialist Domestic Abuse Services. The Bold Voices ambassadors have selected the charity as part of their work on addressing gender-based violence and gender inequality.
During the same week, they will also provide resources for tutors to use in form time to discuss the charity’s work. They will also be placing posters around the school to raise awareness of connected issues and to prompt discussion within the school community.
‘We have chosen SAHWR to support women, men and families suffering domestic abuse. The money raised from the non-uniform day is vital to the charity to fund refuge for families. The charity provides housing for people. They also help the domestic violence victims with legal support and advice. SAWHR is based in St. Albans so is very local and close to our hearts.’ Sophie, Bold Voices ambassador.
