Year 10 students and Dr Valentine start work on the foundations
Dr Valentine officially marked the start of St Clement Danes’ £5.7 million building programme today when she visited the site as work began on the foundations. Alongside her were 5 Year 10 students, winners of a STEM competition at the school organised by Mrs Quinton, whose brief had been to come up with designs for the new building. The students presented their ideas to the architects last year as part of the competition and, as their prize, will now make regular visits to the site to see some of their ideas taking shape. The finished building will house new maths and art classrooms, as well as additional Sixth Form facilities. For more details, please see our earlier article here.
