Fantastic LAMDA Results!
Mrs Ingleby, Subject Leader Drama, reported of a fantastic success for the drama department when news of the LAMDA examination results was received prior to the end of the summer term. The Drama Department was delighted to discover that twenty four students had been awarded distinctions and nine students received merits, which is an amazing set of results for the school's first ever LAMDA examinations. Another cohort of students will be taking their exams in February, taught by LAMDA teacher Mrs Golding, who is also an award winning voice actress!
The Drama Department was busy at the end of the summer term with the Interform Competition being held. Form 7 Clement was named the overall winner of the competition, and the team (Freddie, Elena, Iman, Ben, Will) will receive the Interform trophy at Speech Day later this week. Awards were also given for best male & female actors (Jakub 7A & Alex 7D), best characterisation (Iman 7C), Best fairytale twist 7S with Rumplestiltskin, best staging 7L and best costume (Tobin). Congratulations to 7C and all the category winners on their success, and well done to all students who participated in the competition.
