Students volunteer at Epilepsy Society at Chalfont St Peter
SCD Sixth Form are very proud that several Year 13 students and Old Danes responded to a recent tweet from asking for volunteers. The help was sought by the Epilepsy Society situated at their residential centre in Chalfont St Peter. The centre has been struggling to support their residents due to many carers being in self-isolation or having to care for young children at home. Volunteers are needed to support the residents at the centre, who are unable to self-isolate. It is inspirational to see our young people step up to support these vulnerable individuals who need to be cared for in their residential setting in the local community. The Epilepsy Centre has emailed the Sixth Form to thank school for their support - ‘Many thanks for your support last week – we received an application from one of your ex-students within a few hours …. more interviews are lined up for today… a fantastic response!’
