History and Geography Clubs

History Club:

The History Club have met every fortnight this term and we have enjoyed a number of activities developing students' knowledge of the subject. They have built D-Day launch boats to float in the Learning Resource Centre courtyard and sent messages using Nelson's flag coding system including "England expects that every man will do his duty". Students have also really enjoyed the Big History Quiz and designing their heraldic crests. It has been great to see the students participate with such interest.

Geography Club:

The students have been led by Mr Roe in researching different volcanos. They have made models out of them from clay and analysed which volcano presented the greatest risk to people. The presentations of their work have been fantastic and they have had a great time erupting their volcanos when they had finished!
