Spanish Exchange Trip
Last week saw the first international school trip take place since the pandemic. 23 Year 10 and Year 12 students took part in the Spanish Exchange Trip to Seville during which they spent a week staying with Spanish families whilst taking part in cultural trips. Trips around the area included visiting the 'Mezquita' in Córdoba and a day at the historical city of Cádiz on the coast, during which students had to complete a quest in the local market. Two days were spent exploring the main sites in Seville, such as the Real Alcázar Palace, the Cathedral and its tower, 'La Giralda', a boat trip on the river Guadalquivir, a treasure hunt around the Plaza de Espana and visiting the famous 'Las Setas'. A day was spent in the Spanish partner school in Seville, in which students followed their exchange partners in their lessons for the day. Of course, we could not leave Seville without having sampled 'chocolate y churros'! The students had a wonderful time sampling Spanish culture, family and school life first hand, and we very much look forward to welcoming the Spanish students from Seville to St Clement Danes at the end of March.
