RE23 Sustainable Fashion Show in Chorleywood
Year 12 Fashion and Textiles students recently participated in Chorleywood’s first sustainable event, RE23, a fashion show with an environmental message. The show took place in the memorial hall on Saturday 25th March. Students designed and modelled outfits for the event. In keeping with the sustainable theme, students decided to focus their collection on the idea of repurposing and recycling clothes. Students decided to set themselves a £10 spending limit in local charity shops. Using the goods they purchased the students repurposed the clothes into new garments. Their designs were inspired by various fashion decades, and looked fantastic on the catwalk. Well done to the students for all their hard work over the last couple of weeks.
We are also thrilled to announce Sienna Giles in Year 7 was awarded 3rd place in the 'Waste Not Want Not' competition run by the event. Sienna's design was also featured within the fashion show. Congratulations to Sienna on her wonderful achievement!
