A Level Fashion and Textiles Students, Pleat with Ciment Pleating
On Monday 14th October, A level Fashion and Textiles students were offered an invaluable opportunity to deepen their understanding of specialised manufacturing processes, particularly within the textile and fashion industries. Ciment Pleating, a renowned pleating studio known for its innovative techniques, provided students with first hand insight into the intricacies of fabric manipulation, from traditional hand-pleating to cutting-edge technologies. This experience not only enhanced their practical knowledge of manufacturing but also highlighted the range of creative and technical career opportunities available in fashion production, design, and textile engineering. The studio has over 100 years worth of experience and students were fortunate enough to even witness fabric sent from the Alexander McQueen studio being pleated. We look forward to seeing Matt and his team once again next year!
